Guide to root

What is Rooting?

Before thinking about rooting you should know what you are doing.Rooting is the process of allowing users running on the android mobile O.S. (operating system)   to attain full access over various Android subsystems. As Android uses the Linux Kernel, rooting an Android device gives similar access to administrative permissions as on Linux or any other Unix-like operating system such as FreeBSD or OS X.
Android Phone rooting is the first task for any android pro users.Root access is sometimes compared to jailbreaking devices, running the Apple iOS operating system. However, these are different concepts: Jailbreaking is the bypass of several types of Apple prohibitions for the end user, including modifying the operating system (enforced by a “locked bootloader”), installing non-officially approved applications via sideloading, and granting the user elevated administration-level privileges (rooting). Only a minority of Android devices lock their bootloaders, and many vendors such as HTC, Sony, Asus and Google explicitly provide the ability to unlock devices, and even replace the operating system entirely!

Advantages of rooting

There are a many more advantages of android rooting. But there are some disadvantages also. To see them check my next post…
Disadvantages of rooting.
I have told you some of the advantages of rooting. Now I will tell you what are the various disadvantages of rooting:-
1.) Phone Bricked.
Bricking is a state reached when something goes wrong and results in making your android is nothing more than a piece of brick. Being technical when your phone is not capable of performing boot action and just doesn’t responds to anything it is bricked.
Bricking an android phone can be due to many reasons , may it be skipping one step out of rooting tutorials Or may it be a corrupt rooting tool. Bricking leads to make you buy a new phone.
Well rather talking in general over 2% of the androids get Bricked and 99% of these 2% are first timers. So i consider a good ratio to make my conscious mind allow rooting.
2.) Rooting Voids Warranty.
This is one of the biggest disadvantage of rooting. Rooting means "No Warranty ". When we root our phone, we go against terms and conditions of warranty, which results in the violation of warranty. However we can get back our warranty by unrooting our phone. But in case your phone is bricked, they will not repair free of cost and will charge a lot.
3.) Exposure to virus Threats
This is not a big negative aspect but is still is one of the threat involved in rooting. When installing different ROM’s we are never known what is inside that. May the developer has added some malicious files that may harm your android or may change the interface to worse.

After reading all these things, I know you can resist you to root your android but trust me if you don’t overuse any feature then you can have all the beneficial effects of rooting and trust me Rooting is worth risking your android to bricking. Its awesome Life after rooting. Don`t forget the advantages of rooting

How to root

I have told you what is root, root advantages and it`s disadvantages. But now the question arises is How to root?. Rooting is not so difficult. I have rooted many times and got 100% success.
We can root either with the help of computers or without computers. These both methods have it`s own benefits and disadvantage.
Rooting android phones with computers is done from many years. But rooting with computers is little bit more complicated and you need a usb cable as well as a computer.Rooting without computer is very easy and comparatively more safe than using pc to do so. What we need is any app like Kingroot and just internet connection and we get our phone rooted. Rooting without pc is a modern method of rooting.

I have tried both the ways of rooting and found that second method, i.e. rooting without pc is safer, faster and easier, So I prefer rooting without pc more. There are many apps to do so like. Apps which I like the best are:-

 1) Kingroot
2) Framaroot
3) Kingoroot
